Our vast amount of regular listeners know that Mix105Hardrock is a big fan of Canadian prog rockers Rush. When we heard the news about the death of drummer Neil Peart we were shocked. We knew his health wasn’t as it should be but never expected something as devastating as brain cancer. After more than three years Peart has lost his battle against this illness and we are left with the memories and the music.
Let’s not mourn too long but be grateful for the legacy he left behind.
This upcoming broadcast will feature songs from every studio album Rush has released over the years (with the exception of their debut album which doesn’t feature Peart and the cover EP ‘Feedback).
We hope this will be a fitting tribute to a drummer who’s impact on artists, their music and their lives is impossible to measure. The songs are played in chronological order and the playlist can be found here.
